Gennaro’s Pizza

Wow, actually hadn’t realized that Prez went here. My BAC was probably also three times above the legal limit when I scored this—bad sign. However, based on the 2AM congregation that came in chanting “give me some pepperoni,” I probably should’ve tried their pepperoni slice. On this (plain) slice, there was almost no sauce. However, one disclaimer is that I ordered their garlic knots, which were an 8.2, and their marinara sauce was great. That’s a review.

If you are a garlic lover, this is it right here. Big fan of this pie. Would definitely come back again. Good sauce, not quite as crispy as I would have hoped though.

Little floppy. Greasy.

Drunk pizza, but sober. Light on the sauce, heavy on the salt. At the end of the day it’s not that bad, but definitely not my first choice on the South Side.

Good late night pizza

This pizza was decent all around.

One of the only places to get Chicago style deep dish and it was amazing.

$8.99 Small — Alright Frankie, Gennaro’s is your typical late night drunk pizza spot. It’s a little cleaner inside than most other places in the South Side. The pizza had some flop, the crust was doughy but had a little crunch. The crust was salty, which I liked. The cheese was very good, but the sauce is what keeps this pizza from being a 7.

Holly grease. Good sauce but to much grease.

No flop. Great taste. Good sauce. Cheese is okay

Little greasy but that’s the only complaint. Fresh and perfect combo of sauce and cheese.
