The pizza is good. The sauce is great. The sauce reminds me of Buddys in Detroit. A great garlic pizza sauce.

This pizza isn’t just a pizza that when you’re in the mood for a NY style pizza this will do, this pizza is actually really good! Little flop but not bad, I didn’t have to ask for it well done/crispy it had a nice little char and crisp. Sauce was mild but still good! Good cheese to sauce ratio and yea this pizza was more than decent to me, 7.4!

Fair at best. 16” cheese pie was heavy handed with semolina causing a gritty texture and slightly burnt taste on bottom. Sauce needs more tang and crust could have been sweeter. If I am asking, “maybe the pepperoni is where it is at” then something fell way short for me. Fine if you are already downtown by not certainly not worth a trip into the city. Portnoy’s reviews need to be more about the pizza and less about the owners story. Sorry but let’s keep it real.

Hot honey speciality pizza - amazing crust and sauce, honey and peppers were a really nice touch with good flavor.

The Grandma Pie with pepperoni is the best pizza in CLT hands down

This is NOT grease, it is hot honey! The fiance got this pizza and said it was the best pepp/hot honey she's ever had... I got the super special and loved it. Unlike some supremes, it didn't have too many toppings that weighed it down. Met Gena, and she's awesome! I wish I was that passionate about anything. We're from Boston, and this is the best crust on a pizza that we've had in Charlotte.

Did a review two years ago for the Grandma pizza. It was excellent and so is the traditional pie. Gena is awesome and so is the pizza.

Didn’t know what to do for dinner tonight then saw Portnoy in town trying out this spot. Great crust but a little cheesy for my liking. Shout out DP for giving Gena some love. That’s a review.

This is the best pizza in Charlotte hands down. Owner is from Jersey and knows what he's doing. Crisp crust with nice char and bite. Delicious sauce. The regular pie is incredible and so is the Grandma. As a guy from Long Island, this is as good as you'll get down South

NJ style pizza in Charlotte. Really good. Definitely recommend.

Great ingredients lovely staff. Pizza was a bit sloppy for my tastes but for those who like that then the flavours were there.

Good crisp, solid undercarriage. Light like a defensive back. Cool vibe, except for all the fanny bandits running around downtown Charlotte.

Devoured the White Pie. So no photo of the actual food.
