Gianni's Pizzeria

Established in 1992, Gianni’s shockingly has 5 locations in New Jersey. I’m not sure which location is the original; but hopefully the others are better than this spot. This is forgettable football pizza: tasteless, dry, completely void of flavor. The dough is firmish & bland, a notch above cardboard taste-wise, while the crust has a fair amount of crisp, there’s not much flavor here either. The cheese is a generic blend, no attributes that differentiate from standard pizza cheese. The biggest problem is the fact that the sauce is MIA. Aside from the saltiness of the grease and oil, there’s no flavor to draw from with the severe lack of sauce. Overall, this is painfully pedestrian substandard football pizza. Add more sauce, more spices, some garlic powder, pepper, SOMETHING to jazz up this flavorless pie. Maybe the other locations are better; but unfortunately, there’s nothing to see here.
