Gianorio's Pizza

Up in Chicago area for another AAU tourney. Tried this place while in the Wheaton area. $19 for this half sausage/half pepperoni ultra thin small. It was pretty solid. Nice cornmeal crust. Not a lot of crunch. Still a little thick for ultra thin. Sauce and cheese were good. Sausage was ok. I’ve had better in Chicago area. This was an average slightly above average pizza for me.

Overall a solid cheese and sausage pizza. I ordered extra thin because I have eaten from the one in Lombard and always thought there normal thin was too thick and I was glad I did. They also have and ultra thin which I did not try yet. Good balance of ingredients for a well rounded flavor in each bite. The edge pieces had a nice crunch to them. I would definitely order from here again and for sure order thinner of the crusts if you like a thin crust. Enjoy.

Finally made the trip out to Gianorio's in Winfield. I don't need to write a long review on this place. The pizza was all around awesome. I highly recommend this place.

Best thin crust pizza I've ever had outside of Chicago. They don't do delivery so people drive 45 minutes to get one of their pies. Wait times are around 1.5 hours during their dinner rush. It's worth the wait

The potential is there on this pie. The sauce is decent and the dough is dense. There is entirely too much cheese and our pie was significantly under cooked. Also, why does everyone put the toppings in the middle?? Toppings go on top... Willing to try it again, but needs some work.

Pretty good pie. One of the best I’ve had in the area. Good fresh quality ingredients and you can tell with just One Bite!

Best sauce ever! Always consistent. The classic combo is the way to go! This is the pizza all other pizzas are measured against. Prez you need to come to Winfield, IL just for Gianorios... I’ll buy!!

Alright Frankie, solid pizza sauce isn’t as tangy as I’d prefer and the regular thin crust was a little too thick. Next time I’ll try the extra thin. A lot of cheese but not too much. Crust solid, but could be a little crispier.

So good you can’t help but taking a corner piece on the way home!
