Pizza Review
Maybe it's because I haven't reviewed or had pizza in a while but…I liked it. I can't say it's worth going out of the way for. But I liked the delicate chew of the crust and surprising black spotted leoparding (you can't see) on the bottom. And that's despite the undercooked looking top—the crust ain't crispy. Very light on the sauce. The previous reviewer is right. And lack of sauce is usually a minus. It's a loose sauce and salted well. But I thought it was just enough for this crust. Same for the cheese. Typical low moisture mozzarella fare that did not collapse or grease up my plate. Just at the edge of soupy though. Not all my reviews are on this app, especially when a pizzeria is not listed here. But I can say, the Peekskill Brewery Pizza at the JV Mall is a disappointment and expensive. Then in Shrub Oak you have 3 take-your-pick pizzerias, at a similar level to this that you may like better or worse, with the exception of 901 Wood Fired that sells napolitanas. I've reviewed all except Romano's. They're just as worth it as coming here. I really feel it's down to relatively small preferences in pizza. Calabria has a dougher crust and a pastier sauce. 901 sells "New York style" but on a Napolitana style crust in 12" pies. Francesca's is a sloppier, undercooked, cheesy but kinda tasty slice. Come here if a delicate chew, soft crust, and a lightly salted and topped slice sounds appealing.
