Gigio's

Very good overall. Not too much crisp, bit floppy. The pepperoni and sausage are tasty. Good cheese flavor. Bit greasy. Decent undercarriage. Dough and sauce fairly basic flavor. A bit less grease and more crisp would get this to an 8.

Taste was fine. Lots of flop. Crust and undercarriage aren’t much to brag about though. decent lunch slice in a pinch though.

Good football pizza, could definitely pound back some slices. Very consistent.

The Great Gigio’s. They’ve been making their homemade sausage for more than 40 years. The old crew is changed, the pizza formula is now more puffy and chewy, but to be in Evanston is to be at Gigio’s.

Good, a little too greasy for me.

This pizza is the closest you’ll get to NY style (next to Jimmys Pizza Cafe) in the area. Having said that, it is too doughy and has too much cheese resulting in too much flop. What I do is order delivery, get the oven and pizza stone heated to 500, and by the time the pizza arrives I throw in slices in the oven. A couple mins later you’ll have that classic New York reheated texture/taste (as pictured). 6.6

Best slice you’ll get in Evanston, amazing cheese, good sauce, nice and crunchy

No Flop, cheese a bit light, sauce watery-not a fan, got da Sassage-cuz it’s made in house!! Could of used a bit more SAASSS(spice) $3.75 b4 tax $4.13 after tax gotta go with a 3.4 not worth the price maybe it’s a better DRUNK slice idk we’ll save that for another time.

Good NY slice

For evanston where you don’t find many New York style slices, this is the best you’re gonna get. Great slice. Cheese not too stretchy. Crust is perfect crisp

Very solid slice. Great cheese and phenomenal crust. Just a tad bit more sauce and it would’ve been even better.

1:00am aperitif pizza. Have a few drinks and it’s a 7.6, but alone it is no good

Not a true cheese review, but I’ve Had this before. Best pizza in the area. Nice crust, a strong 7.2
