GiGi's NY Style Pizza

Scores for the magherita and the grandma. Magherita and the regular were thin with some flop on them. Marg had nice flavor to it. I’d score the regular much lower at a 6.5. Regular lacked sauce and was pretty bland. Grandma was thin and very crunchy. They put pesto on it. I’m never big on pesto on pizza so I might’ve gone higher without it but still a respectable slice.

Crisp is unbelievable. You can hear it a mile away haha. Sauce is good. Abit oily but worth it. Bonus must get the general tso pizza. I rated it a 7.9!!

Despite its location at the Jersey Shore, this is more of a North Jerz/NYC football style pizza than boardwalk pie. Medium thickness, medium flop, the dough has terrific texture with bread crumbs on the bottom to prevent moisture buildup, while the crust is tremendously crunchy & crispy with a perfect amount of char. The sauce stands out just enough from the sweet San Marzano tomatoes and a decent amount of spices giving the pie a little kick without being overpowering. They use Grande mozzarella which is always creamy and delicious, magnified by the exceptional sauce to cheese ratio. The only problem area is the heavy grease pooling in the middle, giving the pie an orange tint and salty flavor, but doesn’t totally ruin the overall flavor of the pizza. Quality ingredients make for a very solid pie, better than your basic boardwalk pizza. If they find a way to control the oil slick and ease up the grease, this pie could certainly find its way into the 8s. The specialty items look fantastic; maybe even worth traveling for, but the plain cheese just misses the cut as a destination pizza.

The BEST pepperoni slice I’ve ever had! You need to try this pizza!!!

Been looking for the homemade olive oil crispy bottom Sicilian for a while. The crust is bubbly and holds edge. Old school sauce, garlicky and not sweet. Like Brother’s in Long Branch in the 70 and 80s .

Food here was absolutely delicious. The pizza crust is so crunchy you hear it as you bite down. Combined with the authentic atmosphere and friendly vibe, this is a must see in sea bright.

Showing the amazing Upside Down Sicilian. How could this rich looking hunk deliver such a delicate airy crust? With a perfect amount of crispy crunch on the bottom, and zesty tomato flavor? So tasty. In fairness to “The Rules”... the plain slice was equally fantastic. Light yet substantial crust topped with well balanced sauce and cheese combo. And oh... try the Grandma for dessert!

Not too saucy or cheesy. Not a lot of flop either. Great crunch at the crust. Can’t go wrong with a plain pie at this place it’s very tasty.

The specialty slices are the move when dining at GiGis in Sea Bright. My personal favorite- the vodka slice. It’s the go to slice on any occasion. I think the spot needs to work on their plain, this hurts the overall sore. But again, why grab a plain slice when you can get the upside down or a vodka. Enjoy

Solid. Would order from here again in a second. Crispy, chewy crust, perfect cheese to sauce ratio, color is correct with just the right tinge of orange oiliness.
