Giovanni's Old World New York Pizzeria

It had good flavor. The crust wasn’t very well done so it was pretty soft until the edge. I’d ask for it well done next time.

I asked for light cheese. They might’ve gone too light but I got what I asked for. No flop. Decent undercarriage. I like it just a little bit darker.

Decent slice. Not a lot of flop. Greasy but good. Little lacking on flavor but pretty good

Got the classic thin crust pie (comes with olive oil, garlic, and oregano but asked for no olive oil) Cheese wasn’t too greasy, really thin and light slices, light on the sauce side. I ordered it “well done” so it was a little *too* crispy and slightly hard to chew. Solid 7.2 probably 7.4-7.6 if eating it right after it’s made and normal cook- it’s crispy enough without going well done.

Wow, after visiting New York 1 time I realized I could never find that taste in California, then I found Giovanni’s. It really is like a slice from within the big apple. If you are looking for as close to the NYC taste this is the place.

Very good pizza. Lots of cheese and I’m a fan of cheese.

Called the joint and, was placed on hold so long, (20 minutes), that I just decided to drive there. I was actually still on hold when I walked through the door. Lots of people waiting around and appeared frustrated but, mine came out in about 15 minutes. Most likely due to the small order. Fortunately, it’s worth the wait as it’s close to my old haunt in Brooklyn, Trio Pizza on Avenue U between East 19th and Ocean Avenue. An ok crisp on the bottom with a decent crisp on the crust. Run of the mill NY flop and a little greasy. Worth the wait.

My video never posted.but I came here during a high traffic time to test the quality of pizza. They never cut our pizza and we had to ask them to re cut it. Very greasy and high taste though as an upside. Personally this is not a New York representation of pizza in sac. The crust and toppings were great quality but the grease and the wait during the weekend Is not worth the price.

Solid pizza

A lot of flop, burnt tasting crust, slightly too much grease. Good look out of box, good cheese, and first bite of the crust was flaky.

Good pizza. Not great. Will continue to come here often. It’s convenient.
