Giovanni’s is a longtime institution in the Cultural District. Known for their sweeter sauce. This was a modest sized slice, but, fairly priced at $3. Milano’s is across the street and rated 7.2. There are now many +8 rated places around the city of Pittsburgh, but none in the Golden Triangle.

Really good pie. Great cheese with a sweet sauce. Little floppy. If crispy, would def be a high 7. Still very good pie though.

Gotta say. First couple bites I was a little turned off by the sweetness of the sauce. Then all of the sudden my first slice was gone. Then my second. And I realized it was really quite good.

Doesn’t work for my palette like I remember. Sauce is very sweet like I remember, but cheese just isn’t coming through enough to cut that sweetness. Dough and crust are excellent though hence why I’m scoring this higher than pelegrinos experience which I remember being too sweet for me
