Pizza Review
Rollin’ Dough Review: Straight up: this is good pizza. Love the set up with the walk up counter, slices ready to go. Big slice, one is all I needed. I got the special - slice, giant breadstick and a Coke and I was stuffed. The crust was near-perfect, excellent floury lightness yet firm enough body to resist the flop for the most part ,but not too firm. The outer edge had a perfect crisp to it. Good sauce, not too much of anything, just a solid base and some good quality cheese. This pizza was a particular favorite of mine to review as it brought back memories of growing up in NY and eating at the local Italian families spot, Aiello’s Pizzeria. That was real stuff that, even after 25 years, my taste buds haven’t forgotten, and Goodfellas is the closest to their style and taste I’ve found since. This pizza is a solid 8.0 on its own, but that’s a rookie score, and the nostalgia gives it the extra .5 from me. That’s a review.
