Worth all the hype

Great sauce, great crust, minimal flop. 🫡 out of 10

Tomato base was delicious and nice crisp bottom

A Brooklyn institution, serving up delicious old school coal fired pizzas for decades. This used to be the best pizza in the borough but ever since they started franchising, the ingredients weakened and the pies lost that luster that made them special. They still make very tasty pizza here; but it’s become a bit of a tourist trap. Gotta try Grimaldi’s at least once and see for yourself.

Great ingredients, just wish it was crispier

When I was a kid I lived in brooklyn heights and I at this pizza often. I went back to my house to visit my mom and dad. While I was there I went here to eat some pizza. It was pretty good. So I will give this pizza a 7.5.

Prosciutto arugula was phenomenal. Wish the crust was a little crispier. First goal fire I’ve had. Definitely would stop again

the sauce was lacking tang and flavor, the crust was great, but the flavor of the sauce just didn’t cut it for me

Good sauce with strong oregano flavor. Grated Parmesan on top adds some kick. Sold by the pie only. Each slice is a bit thicker with a denser crust. Light char on top adds a little bitterness. Really decent, a solid NYC institution.

It’s all about the sauce. The mozzarella is fresh but the sauce is incredible with its rich flavor of sweet garlic tomato.

The charred chewy crust, the tangy sauce, great funky cheese, my fav pie in NYC, and possibly the world!

A perfect slice of pizza doesn’t exi… 😳 Wow. The first slice was absolutely amazing. Great coal fired pizza with perfectly flavored sauce. My only complaint is that the sauce wasn’t evenly distributed, so the other slices weren’t up to par with the first.

Tried pepperoni and white and loved the taste of the pepperoni. Very good sauce and fresh mozzarella. Classic NY thin slice with nice crispy crust. Restaurant had a really nice atmosphere with great view of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Great pie!!! Coal fired is the best and the woman who runs the joint , I would say is the nicest person. She is beautiful 😍 also. Win win
