Our first big score of the season right here. And it comes with a surprise, because here's a place with no pub whatsoever, no hype whatsoever. Well that changes with this review. I don't want to call it a hidden gem because that's an insult. Grotta Azzura been around since 1987, walk into the place it's just the owner that's it, he's slinging out pies, ringing ya up, making sure your cold sodas are in a bag. 10/10 service right there. And now to the pizza. This is how pizza should be done. A scolding hot pie, the sauce is fresh, guy probably handpicks his tomatoes himself, cheese well distributed, not thrown on there by the carload, no it's perfectly place, and the dough is airy and a little something behind it at the same time. That's how it's done. No Instagram little 'skits' no slick back hair, no let me talk about my fawthaas pizza, no this is how my fawthaas taught me, no talking to his son like it’s the beginning of a mob movie, NO NOTHING. Just great fucking pizza. Only thing is it's very tough to park around there, so me and Elroy had to block a driveway. So to the Arab guy driving the Benz S580, sorry about blocking your driveway, and giving ya the finger and yelling "we gotta hot pizza right here"
