Let’s be honest with ourselves. Buenos Aires pizza is a nightmare. The bad: You’d think there’s a national shortage on sauce and a national surplus of cheese. All the cheese adds to the huge amount of grease that makes it so tremendously floppy. There’s no crust to be had. The good: It’s super inexpensive. The atmosphere is great. Super old school vibes and you can feel that there’s history. The people working there were lovely. It tastes really fresh. It’s nice to sit outside and people watch. I don’t mean to dump on these guys. The whole Buenos Aires pizza style is just in contrast to all the pizzas I like. For this style, it’s probably as good as it gets.
