Naming a pizzeria after the town in which it resides is somewhat rare, but it’s usually an indicator that their pizza is not that great. Luckily, this joint bucks that trend. Fairly thin and reasonably light, but also rather floppy and soft in spots, however, the dough is not soggy and is actually pretty tasty. The cheese and sauce are blended perfectly, beautifully simpatico. Seemingly intertwined, there’s hardly any separation, almost as if the sauce and cheese were pre-mixed together. The superstar of this pie is definitely the sauce: sweet, tangy, a lil zip, oodles of flavor, deliciously dynamite. The cheese blend compliments the sauce incredibly well, a modest amount, melted magnificently. The dough and crust could certainly use some crisping but the taste totally overrides the lack of crispness. The abundance of grease is a bit of a problem, definitely need to sop it up or let it drip out. But once again, the deliciousness overrules the flaws of the pie. This is a tantalizingly tasty pizza; control the oil flow and crisp it up a bit and we’re talking the lofty level of the high 8s.
