Pizza Review
Awesome Detroit style pizza, the dude running the place was an awesome guy. My wife is gluten free and got the pepperoni on a GF crust and said it was very good for GF.

Pizza Review
As someone originally from New York, where pristine mountain water helps create the world’s best breads and doughs, I’ve been chasing that perfect pizza crust since moving to Texas over 30 years ago. I grew up in the Catskill mountains of NY with pizzas from the passionate owners of the Crossway’s Restaurant and Frankie Green’s Italian. Pies so memorable, they could stand up to any in the world. Add to that my 3+ years living in Southern Italy, where I sampled authentic Neapolitan pies in Naples and Avellino, and you could say I’m a tough critic when it comes to pizza. But Heirloom Pizza in Plano has absolutely blown me away! It’s hands down the best pizza I’ve had in Texas, period—and it rivals many of the best pizzas on my personal list anywhere. The regular pizza is my favorite: thin, crisp, and perfectly made. The Detroit-style pizza is excellent too, with its caramelized crust and hearty dough. It’s much lighter than it looks, and the taste… just wow! (And yes, I lived just outside of Detroit for five years, so I know the real thing.) In a city with so many dining options within 20–30 minutes, very few stand out like this. I encourage everyone to support Heirloom Pizza. You’ll not only enjoy one of the best pizzas of your life, but you’ll also feel good supporting a local business built on passion. What makes Heirloom even more special is the story behind it. Owner Justin, who worked as a waiter for over a decade, saved up to chase his dream of owning a restaurant. With no prior pizza-making experience, he dove in headfirst, researched endlessly, and has created a masterpiece. Chatting with Justin and his team, you can feel the passion and love they pour into every aspect of this business. Look them up on Facebook and you’ll understand the man and his dream. It’s a story that makes you want him to succeed. If you’re in Plano or nearby, do yourself a favor and visit Heirloom Pizza at 2225 W 15th St. It’s takeout-only, but even just hanging out for 20 minutes waiting for my two pies to cook to perfection, I walked away feeling like something big and great is waiting for Justin and his team. Great people, great food, and great vibes! Spread the word. In a sea of chain pizzerias and others who don’t know what a quality pizza tastes like, this place is a breath of fresh air. You won’t regret it.
