Home Run Inn Pizza - 31st Street

The pizza is not what it used to be. My grandmother and great-grandmother lived afew blocks away, and my father, his brother, my grandfather, and great grandfather had slices from the first two pizza's Homerun Inn made. Had Homerun Inn pizza's since the day I was born in 1968. Stopped eating Homerun Inn in the mid 80's because the pizza had a different taste and was not good. Came back today, 1-20-24 after 40 years. What a waste. Pizza was so greasy, sloppy and floppy. Cheese slid right off the dough. Dough was almost raw in the center. My son who loves the frozen Homerun Inn's, said the fresh pizza sucks. I agree. Chicago is not a pizza city like it used to be.
