Pizza was too thick. Bottom too done. Dry. Place is not consistent

Ordered medium well done. Super crispy, good taste, only knock on it was the pool of grease but nothing a napkin can’t handle. Good stuff.

Got off the turnpike a couple stops early to try this highly reviewed place. I was a little disappointed in how this pizza was made. It was extremely cheesy to a fault. There was so much cheese and it had such a gummy and chewy texture. There was a good amount of flop and I thought it was pretty doughy as well. I couldn’t even tell you what the sauce tasted like if there was a gun to my head. Their other pizzas must be pretty good if their average score is in the 8s, because the cheese pizza isn’t even close.

Got the 2 piece lunch special which is reheated . Nice crisp and good flavor.

I’ve been looking for the best pizza in central PA and this is a contender. I’m from NY and have had the best NY and CT pizzas. So many places in Central PA are extremely similar but this place stands out slightly more than others like Palumbo. First thing I noticed was the thinness of the plain cheese slice. I’m not saying it was thin or thick, but perfectly in between. Light and easy to eat with good flavor, no grease really, decent crisp, little floppy. I always order my pies well done. They didn’t exactly cook it well done. I wish it had a little more crisp and char to it. I have to say though this might currently be my favorite in central PA, but it’s very close with Palumbo, probably .1 higher. Cook this longer, give it more crisp and a little char and this is a 8.

This pizza is legit been to Rome and New York, this places holds up, crust was crisp all the way through and the taste of oil and garlic was a nice touch, sauce to cheese was spot on love this place

Needs to tighten up a tad more to get closer to 8. Asked for well, some of the dough was still undercooked. Has serious potential hut cheese was lava and the undercooked dough hurt it. I’d like to give them another chance.

Grandma’s pizza was delicious. Definitely a little sweeter sauce but the undercarriage to cheese ratio was on point. Overall a great pizza!

Very greasy and floppy. But undercarriage still had some crisp to it. Cheese is very flavorful, but greasy. Sauce has a good amount of tang, it’s decent. Pretty big slice, $3. I wish the whole slice was as crispy as the crust; the crust was great!

I got 2 slices...🍕🍕. One when I walked in, sitting on the counter, looked about 54 minutes old. Then right before I was about to leave a nice, fresh, hot, beautiful looking slice pie makes its way onto the counter. So I figure I gotta commit now. I try the “burn your face off” slice. Well, it’s the first one that got this joint the 7.8 rating (actually it’s a 7.75380). The second slice should have tasted better but didn’t. It was messy, it didn’t seem to want to settle. It was restless and it showed. So I chewed it down, burnt the roof of my mouth a bit there, too. Just goes to show you it’s really about the timing, and the “who made it factor” and the right place at the right time that makes a pizza slice either just alright, good, (Dave’s “it’s very good slice”🙄) great, outstanding, exceptional or truly exceptional tasting. Pizza is a fickle thing. Sometimes there’s a trick to it and sometimes it’s just pure luck. A factor that only the best pizza makers can deal with on a consistent basis. The second slice, maybe a 7.0 or 7.1. (sauce alone saved these pieces from being a high 6’er) Messed up, I know; but you CAN have a pie from the same place within an hour and have some disparity in the ratings. Crazy shit, but true pizza people totally get it. So maybe not so crazy. Ah, who knows. . . 🤪 Best part about Home Slice at Walden is Jordan. Extremely polite and conscious counter person/server who takes pride in what he is doing. Don’t even know him but I know I like him🍕

Underneath the cheese pizza on the menu it says “one bite everyone knows the rules” I rule the slice a quality 7.3

Super solid pizza joint... Great ambiance in a "town center" setting... Very clean in appearence inside and out, ingredients taste fresh... I rated a grandma slice and a margarita slice.

Good flavor on the sauce and cheese. Crust was nice and crisp. No flop, only issue was with the cheese sliding off the slice. Overall great pizza for a good price.

Reminds me of Circle Pizza in Avalon. Good sweet sauce taste. Crust is crisp

The Frankie is a solid 8.2. The regular pizza is nothing out of the ordinary and more like a 6.7.

Solid. The 8.9 listed here is wildly over scored. Everything is fresh. Sauce is good. Can’t complain. Solid slice. But again 8.9 is reaching. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Awesome spot, good pie.. too much crunch for me but overall pretty good. Would come back to try a different style pizza.

I finally found the Central PA crisp!! This place is a gem, it has a homie atmosphere that is super inviting. The pie was fantastic, and you can tell high quality ingredients are used. Perfect amounts of tangy sauce and flavorful mozzarella really made their version of a Margherita stand out. And did I mention the crisp 😍. I debated with myself on the 9+ score, but this place really deserves it! I’ll be back, soon!
