Home Slice.. Still here on my violent eating expedition.. Trying what many consider the Best pizza in Austin.. super impressed with this place.. Ownership has taken everyone who works there up to New York to learn about our love of Pizza.. the staff has been to Deninos, Joe N Pats, Lucali, Johns of Bleecker & Di Fara.. each excitingly explaining which ones they like the best and why.. I’m proud of how they honor the greatest culinary creation Ever!!! With that being said I didn’t know what to expect.. a lot of rookie post with bad scores.. I ordered the pizza well done.. once again General Doug by my side.. pizza made in bakers pride ovens with semolina tossed in under the pie.. two different types of mozzarella and sauce complimented the crust real well.. no Flop.. stiff like a board.. a combination of bar pie & football pizza.. Excellent Job!! In Crust We Trust is there logo.. the same as my neighborhood pizzeria..

Supremely solid for Austin. Boasts itself as a NY slice, but lacks the girth as your NY Pizza Suprema type fare. If you are slicurbating in Austin though this is likely your best bet. Just bring napkins and extra jergens since there are mostly high end fashion shops here.

Home slice has fallen off the great pizza tree and hit every ugly branch on the way down. What in the heck are these people doing? Pizza over the years keeps getting worse and now is no better than a bad air port slice or a cruise ship all you can eat pizza Buffett. Even the rice crispy treats and the cookies were not good. I’d give those a 4.1! Sad day as we used to be big time Home Slice fans. I’m telling you, hit every ugly branch possible! Crust bad(soapy and not fermented) cheese (defiantly not grande), sauce(paste like with sugar), bake….it was par baked and still not crispy! Hope they get back to pizza goodness. Greatness I believe is gone forever.

No flop, great crisp and crunch, and perfect cheese to sauce ratio. Prob the best slice in Austin. Cool spot, nice vibes. This prob wouldn’t be in the 8’s in nyc, so a TX scale for sure. Something lacking in overall flavor… sauce or dough. Curious if pres would get into the 8’s… it should if he rated Sammataro 7.9.

This slice was everything! Great crust, folded well—not limp! The sauce and cheese were not overdone. Great vibe and looking forward to coming back!

I don’t give above a 7.5 lightly. This pizza is outstanding. The hospitality and vibe might be even better. The undercarriage was spot on, the crisp was just fine. Pres got this one wrong..highly recommend.

Little drunk when i ate it but we’re gonna count it anyway. Pleasantly surprised by Texas pizza again. Super crispy almost no flop good tangy sauce cheese was of quality as well. if i lived here id frequent the f outta this place. 7.4 for me but giving an extra tenth for the clean s2000 parked out front. 7.5
