Pizza Review
Like most Greek pizzas, “circle gets the square.” For whatever reason, they insist on making circular pies and cutting it into a grid, leaving the entire middle of the pizza “crustless,” which I can’t stand. Not a fan of this style to begin with, the ingredients don’t help sway me whatsoever. I’m not sure what kind of cheese they use but it’s thick, heavy and has a sharp, off-putting taste like an unpleasant combo of provolone and feta. The sauce is just a lousy, acidic, tart, non-traditional concoction. The dough is signature Greek pie texture: light & airy, soft, oily and horribly sponge-like. The crust is decently crunchy but there are too many crustless slices in the middle. Just as I wouldn’t go to Italy for a gyro, I don’t know why you’d go to a Greek joint for pizza. Fans of this style will probably like it; but it’s just not for me.
