I don’t go to Burlington often but when I do Ida is a must stop. Ingredients are good, open kitchen and the pizza is perfectly cooked. Met the owner tonight and was very impressed. The Pizza Experience is worth the value the owner provides. I’m not a rich individual but I would honestly pay more for the square pie Dan makes. WOW, cooked to perfection!

Stellar tricolor square pie. Bright tomatoes, rich almond pesto, creamy cheese, little zing from pecorino, oregano, and black pepper… and the naturally leavened crust that is a dance of aroma, flavor, and textural contrasts. This is pizza with depth… 9.8 because Ida pies keep getting better so there will be 9.9 and 10.0!

Nostalgia from the future. Hands down the best pizza being produced today in the most amazing atmosphere to have a slice or three over a glass of wine and a special desert. When do you get a Michelin star it’s that good. Travel here, destination location. A rare breed and true artist. Inspiration move me brightly

Zero flop, which was impressive considering the amount of wet veggies we added. They have the best sauce and dough I’ve had in my life. I drive 4 hours from Maine regularly for this.

No complaints about this Pizza or the people making it. They care. They use great quality ingredients. This is my first time in and I’m definitely going back. The Square pizza was perfectly cooked. Crispy on the edges crunchy on the bottom and soft fluffy in the middle. Plenty of great sauce and cheese. Excellent flavor. It ain’t cheap but it’s good!

Very good pizza—the chicken was also amazing. Limited menu, but they do it well.

Call me a "rookie" all you want Dave. You won't find a better pizza anywhere! Authentic perfection. Light fluffy beautiful flavor. Crunch to the undercarriage...what more can you ask for.

Very disappointed for all the hype. The sauce was very sweet. As you can probably tell from the picture, it was verrrry floppy and jiggly (didn’t know pizza could have that adjective until now). Not to mention it was $38. Would not recommend. You might like this pizza if in place of sauce you prefer kool-aid packets on your pizza, you like spending a horrific amount of money, and you’ve never seen Meet The Parents. It’s a 6.2 for me.

Spinach, egg and chorizo pie. Big mix of toppings that range the spectrum of taste. Great undercarriage with some crisp. Similar to a great sausage carbonara on a crust

Char and undercarriage are on point. Dough is light and airy - this is an offensive lineman pizza. Looks heavy but light on its feet. This pizza is fuckin legit. Get here

I’ve had the new haven spots and this as just as good if not better. The guy was not kidding on his Instagram this is legit. I’ve had Sally’s, modern, defazios, tuccis, Regina’s, and a couple other 8+ score pizzas and this is top 2 for sure. Unreal stuff

Lives up to the hype.

I have had pizza all over the northeast, from New Haven, NYC, Boston, New Jersey, gone to Rome and Florence in Italy, even touted as the best pizza ever by Dave Portnoy at Johns of Bleeker in Manhattan..... the BEST pizza I have ever had and truly believe anyone will have, is Pizzeria Ida. The BEST ingredients with naturally leavened dough, real San Marzano tomatoes and incredible cheese, handled by expert hands..... equals the best pizza, I, as well as others, believe. These things cost money and time, but every minute and dollar are very much worth it. Dan is a rock star.

I've been wanting to try this place for a couple months now ever since I saw it's one bite rating, and it did not disappoint! I went with their square half cheese half pepperoni, which is a deep dish pie unlike anything I'd ever had. The crust was spectacular and the dough itself was nice and airy with a mind-blowing crunch at the bottom of every bite! All ingredients were top-notch and the interior of the restaurant itself was really cool as well with extremely high ceilings and an open kitchen where they prepared your pizza in direct view. While I was there another customer got their round pie, which is a more traditional looking pizza and it looked amazing as well! Now on to the elephant in the room, their prices. Whether or not they're overpriced is up for you to decide, they produce a premium product that I'm sure costs them far more to make then the average pizza place spends to make a single pie. My have cheese half pepperoni square ended up costing me $45.25, which is the most I've ever spent on a pizza in my life! LOL With that said, I'm already planning my trip back to try their round pie in the near future!

Crispy crust, very good sauce, and well balanced sauce to cheese ratio. The best cheese pizza in town. Unfortunately it’s $35! Is it worth it? Probably. It’s definitely an experience to eat in Ida. The ice cream was great as well. Total bill with tip … $55. For one pizza and two ice creams ….

When I ordered this pizza, it had a 9.1 for a score. On a Vermont scale of pizza it might be that, but in relation to the world I wouldn't rate it that high. It seems like they use really high quality ingredients and it was really good. Definitely a bit pricey though

Been around the world and I, I, I I can't find my baby I don't know when, I don't know why but I found IT in Burlington VT! This pie belongs in the majors - no question- and I only had a round tomato pie - can’t wait to get a square pie - yep an honest 9.3 and there is room to go after a square . They are slinging some dank ass shit over here - and their Italian sandwich with a roll that keeps on rolling is a 9.5!
