Validation review. Fantastic slice perfect reheat crispy first bite to last with airy crust charred perfect. Fresh mozz with great flavor and pull to go along with chunky hearty sauce that is well seasoned with oregano and parm winding up with an amazing slice. Always a favorite

Runner up to Di Fara. This is probably one of my favorite slices. Amazing sauce and flavor. Seasoned very well. Crust is perfect, no flop. Location is tough with traffic but a trip there is worth it. This is top of the list for me.

Ignazio's is excellence pizza. The plain slice is a thin crust slice with a generous amount of herbs and sauce and a good amount of cheese. For $4, it's of course a little more pricy than the $1-$3 slices you might find elsewhere, but this is a textbook case of "you get what you pay for." The only slight con with the plain slice is that the crust was a little dry and had me wanting to reach for water to compensate, but it was nothing bad; the crust was fine, just not amazing. As for the Sicilian slice, it was also excellent, and I actually think it just edged out the plain in terms of overall favor and amount for your money ($4.50), while still being of very high-caliber pizza. Being a Sicilian slice, it was very generous on the sauce of course, but not in an overbearing or gimmicky way and instead it offers a song and dance on your taste taste buds. Further, the crust did not have as much of that dry problem as the plain did- I suspect because of more airiness of the dough and seeping in of the oil. The Sicilian for me is an 8.8, but the Onebite review is for the plain as that's the baseline for a pizzeria. Keep in mind though that on the menu, Ignazio's does advertise that the Sicilian is their specialty, and I highly recommend getting one along with a slice of your choosing if you go there. Overall, great pizza to take out or dine in for and if you're in the area and hungry, it's a must try at least once to really get a sense of what Brooklyn and an acclaimed authentic Italian pizzeria can offer.

Tried the cheese and pepperoni. Flavorful tomato sauce with perfect amount of cheese, herbs, and oil. Combined what “artisan” pizzas do great with their mix of herbs and what “street side” pizzas do well with their oily flavor. Great Brooklyn slice.

See them seasoning I put on the side of the plate? You don't need 'em. And I'm stupid for even thinking I might. What a flavorful slice. When the criticism of a slice you hear is that it's *too* seasoned, it's probably not gonna let me down. I rather that than the opposite too common. What can I say? This hits you with oregano, fresh mozzarella, garlic, and sauce right in the face. The crust is not elite, to be honest. It's about the standard but competently done NY style has oven pizza crust you'd expect. No long fermentation or well browned crust charred black in spots. But I honestly think those are things pizza lovers care way more about than the average eater. You just get a crispy enough brown crust and small end crust. It's a sauce forward slice. Like the greats. This is what I like. It's not a runny or watery sauce or chunky on the other end of the spectrum. It's got a pasty medium thickness with a great umami flavor. Salted just right too and garlic of some form visibly meshed into the cheese with the oregano. The fresh mozzarella is not the cheap plasticky stuff. It's better than that. Though we're not talking really special quality. You get a good amount of it, over and under the mozzerella. This is not a quintessential NY pizza. But it's that crust, with way more sauce seasoned well, and fresh rather than low moisture mozzerella. Someone make this for less than $4.

Great restaurant, great service, and good pizza. Worth the walk over the bridge to try it out ! The local tap beer is delish as well!

Sauce is straight out of my boy’s Nonna’s Italian kitchen. No flop, all crunch, just how they like it. Neighborhood is pure sex, about to go for a walk through Brooklyn Bridge Park on a pizza high
