This is a solid neopolitan pizza. Excellent sauce and a good crust. One of the best pizzas in DC.

Forgot to take a photo so there’s my hand. Pizza was greasy and slightly soggy in the middle. Crust was decent and flavors were good but very greasy at the same time.

Picture definitely doesn’t do it enough justice. il Canale’s plain Margherita pizza is unlike any other. Decent flop, but it doesn’t even matter with this pizza. Crust is everything one could want from a pizza, sauce is phenomenal, cheese as well, and all in all, a really great slice. Don’t give out 8.4’s often, but il Canale deserves it.

il Canale is part of (The True Neapolitan Pizza Association,Associazione Verace Pizza napoletana) I order two classic types of pizza Pizza Margherita And Pizza marinara traditional Neapolitan. Coming from a pizza family “parents from Italy” The ingredients were fresh! The dough was fresh. The sauce was good. A little undercooked but saying that it’s very common making this type of pizza. Overall very good!

Good cheese and ingredients, a little too greasy and burnt in some spots. Not bad overall

Very light crust, sauce is great, no flop! Slightly greesy but a very good slice
