Il Forno wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t my kind of pizza. The slices were pretty floppy and the portions were on the smaller side, which is fine, but the overall flavor didn’t really hit for me. The pizza had a noticeably sweet taste. The pepperoni was decent, but I wasn’t a fan of their Italian sausage. Overall, it was a little more than mediocre pizza not terrible, just not something I’d personally be craving to go back for.

Great brick oven pizza flavor, well balanced flavors and enjoyable atmosphere. Just know 12” are the only size pies available so be prepared to buy more than one pizza pie to even get full.

Here with another pizza review. We’re at Il Forno in San Antonio. I normally don’t go for Neapolitan pies, but this place knocked my socks off. Phenomenal undercarriage. Crispy and little flop (uncharacteristic of most Neapolitans). Good mild sauce. It’s wood fired so you want to eat it fresh. The crisp goes away about 8 minutes after leaving the oven. Best pizza in San Antonio. That’s a review.

Thin, tangy sauce, and crispy pepperoni make this work, but the toppings were a bit soupy, sliding all over the place, crust needs a little more crisp

Crisp crust, delicious sauce, fresh uncut pepperoni sausage curing in the fridge cut and put on the pizza and the pepperoni was perfect. No greasy drips.

Very good Neapolitan pizza in San Antonio. If you are downtown I would highly recommend. Very consistent, light, great crust. Great char on bottom. 3:30-6:30 happy hour is great deal. A go to spot in SA. San Antonio has a lot of bad pizza, this is a pleasant exception.
