Recently crowned as the best pizza in Buffalo and averaging an 8.7 until now. Busy Saturday, almost 2 hours before I could pick up my order. To start, Jay’s should invest into a warming rack. My pizza, among others, were sitting on normal shelves which cooled off quickly even though I was 10 minutes late. Ordering online and I recognize I haveIt’s to choose “cut pizza” as an option and I didn’t. Who doesn’t want their pizza cut? The dough is fresh and wood fired but not as crispy as I hoped and that could be due to it sitting for a while. The sauce is plentiful, zesty and well seasoned. The fresh mozzarella is always a bonus but on this pie it took a backseat to the sauce. Overall this is a great pizza but having unnecessary options online and no warming racks may deter me from ordering here again. Forno Napoli still has the better pizza but Jay’s is on par with Rocco’s.

Really phenomenal pie. The sauce is spectacular. And the mozzarella is super solid. Crust had perfect leoparding as well!

Tried both the Margherita Neapolitan and Red Top Detroit, both were fantastic! Very fresh ingredients and you can tell a lot of love and care goes into these pies!

This could easily be a one bite review literally. There was not a lot of dough in this. Pepperoni however was good and the crust was tasteful. But the pizza was wood fire cooked so the crust tasted good. Just wish they didn’t get so skimpy with the dough like the world relied on it.

Hopes were as high as snoop dogg and reality was as low as Vontae Davis’ run with the bills. Flavor was as existent as Leslie Fraziers good play calling in the bills bengals playoff game. I guess this was a bit harsh but I’m let down. Had the right idea I guess?

Overall a decent pie. Super thin and light. Fresh but not a lot of flavor. Crust was good and airy with good flavor. The char throughout was a bit of a throw off but not bad. Rookie score but cant put it above 7 but can’t put it below.

It’s true I prefer Detroit style pizza… this place was suggested to me for their amazing wood fired pizza, however when I heard they did Detroit style in western NY I was curious. I always order my pie well done, I feel like they rushed this one out a little bit and that dropped it a few points. The sauce was great, little heavy handed for me I wouldn’t be afraid to order this pie light sauce. Dough was thick but not super heavy, cheese was great. Pepperoni I expected to see some cup and char, this pie would benefit from an upgrade there. Definitely a quality pie, I’ll be back to try the wood fired sometime soon I’m sure!

I don't usually go out of my way for Neapolitan style pizza, but Jay's was recently rated number 93 on The daily meal top 100 and one pizza places in the country, so I made an exception! I like the laid-back environment and order at the counter and they bring it to you style, as well as they're open kitchen where you can see your food being prepared right in front of you. I ended up going with a margarita Neapolitan, which was much better than your average Neapolitan, as it was very crispy right out of the oven! Fantastic sauce with a touch of Basil and high quality cheese combine for an excellent flavor! Easily my best neapolitan style pizza I've ever had. The score is for the Neapolitan, but they're Detroit style square was even better! I got a red top and was extremely impressed with the crust and flavor of it overall! I'd go high 8's on the Detroit style!
