The closest to perfect pizza as you can get, I would go as far as to say the best bar pie in New Jersey. The cheese-to-sauce ratio is perfect, the crust has this “pan pizza meets bar pizza” hybrid profile that really fits the pizza well, and it’s not dry or too greasy; it’s absolutely perfect and well balanced. Consistency really stands out to me in any pizza and I have yet to find a place as consistent in presentation and flavor as Joe’s Famous Pizza every time I order. I highly recommend.

I was hoping for a much better pie but it wasn’t to be. I will chalk it up to a bad night. I see some very high scores on here which I can’t see at all. They must have some very loyal customers. Pie looked pretty good, but was very chewy and greasy. The taste didn’t save it. Your basic, average bar pie. I believe they are capable of better.

Definitely deserves an above 8 score - this is worth going a little out of your way for… but not plan your trip around it. A little flop, cheese is delicious and salty, loving the crust with the caramelization. Nice and thin. Only complaint is I think it’s just a little light on the sauce. Great pizza.

For me personally this is the best pizza in New Jersey. We sadly moved away from the area but I purposely drove 50 minutes today just to grab one regular pie and it’s still fantastic as always
