Joe's Pizza

1 cheese slice and a bottle of water, $5 and change, 2:55pm on a Wednesday Sometimes a review can really be hurt by the timing of your visit. I generally don't like to get slices after 2pm because pizza generally isn't fresh. Sometimes you can be really unlucky and walk in to see one slice left from the pie they were selling and that's what you get - I never ask them to cut into a fresher pie and I get fucked over for it. To make matters worse, I also don't like to tell them "not too hot" cause I've seen that go sideways by not getting reheated whatsoever - so I just hope the person behind the counter knows how to time it out. The dude working here let this thing hang in the oven for a long ass time, I should have asked him to pull it but he was busy wrapping up a sub so I just waited until he pulled out a scorching re-cooked slice. As for the pizza itself, the first few bites had gotten soft and chewy from the grease getting cooked into the undercarriage. Thankfully it still tasted all right and winds up with an almost respectable score overall, even though it was an old, over reheated slice of pizza. I'd imagine a fresh slice here would land in the low 7s.
