Johnny Jo's Pizzeria

Good undercarriage, minor flop. The pizza is light, almost Neapolitan in flavor. I could eat it all day. Just a little bit doughy. This is like an 8.5 by KC standards, 7.4 compared to east coast pies. Cool little place, will return

Crispy crust, could use a bit more sauce

I tried this place twice before leaving a review. The first time I tried the pepperoni and the second time I tried the fresh mozzarella which looks more like a Neapolitan or Margherita Style pizza. Good crisp on both, the sauce has I'm assuming oregano because it has a slightly bitter taste on the back end. I prefer the fresh mozzarella over the pepperoni. 7.1 for the pepperoni and 7.4 for the fresh mozzarella.

I enjoyed the crust. Everything else was just fine, but it was it anything to write home about. It's better than Papa Johns, but it has a lot of room to be a great NY Slice.

Crispy, good undercarriage. A bit of a flop. I’ve had better pie at this place but was slightly undercooked today. But you got to give it a try just based on topping choices and the fact they will heat 1 slice in their beautiful oven. I’ll be back

Sauce and crust were the best part, cheese was also not bad. They had great service and got it to us in minutes. Great pizza

The slice was hot and crispy. Sauce was so good and the service was awesome.

Hands down best pie in Kansas City. Good crisp, no flop, excellent sauce.

Pretty solid. Best Pizza by the slice I’ve found in the city so far. Very tasty. Only critique is the dough wasn’t totally cooked all the way, but still very tasty. I’ll be coming back.

No photo. But I’ve had Johnny Jo’s from their food truck and the restaurant. I’m a big fan of their pizza. The crust, sauce and cheese are really good.

Crust: 8.0 Sauce: 4.1 Cheese: 3.9 The crust here is really nice, it is light and crispy. The sauce doesn’t really taste like anything, my guess is that the sauce has a lot of tomato paste in it. The cheese has almost no flavor at all, it’s cheese in look but that’s where it stops. The quality here is hit or miss and lately it has been more miss. I ordered a pie the other week and what I got was a slice pie they had left over from the day. I know this because when I got there they threw it in the oven to re-heat it. I want to score this higher but the product doesn’t merit it.
