Johnny’s NY Pizzeria

I watch Portnoy review pizzas like it’s the daily news. I want to start off by saying I previously reviewed Celestinos at a 7.8. Celestinos is GREAT pie. But I give the slight edge here to Johnny’s. The dough is simply just better. No doubt about it. Celestinos can be a little tough at times. This dough is soft and pillowy. Great pie. Where the score narrows is, Johnny’s was a little floppier(which to each their own, I am okay with it, I don’t want the dough to be crunchy like a cracker), but it was a bit soupy as you can see by the cheese. Awesome pie. My new top rating in Sac. Better than Giovanni’s and it has the slight edge on Celestinos. Lastly, order ahead. They sell out on Fridays and Saturdays. They are a great, friendly crew back there. Awesome environment.
