Johnny's Pizza - Wake Forest

As a native New Yorker, this isn't bad.

I've had this pizza before and I really enjoyed it. However this time I ordered a bacon slice, once I picked it up it was the most floppy greasy pizza I've ever held in my hand. The dough was way too chewy. Would probably be a good idea to ask for the pizza well done next time. I'd give it a higher score but this was just disappointing.

I’m not the biggest fan of New York style but there’s plenty better options around. Dough is always chewy here and is a lot more filling than others I’ve had.

1st I'm from New York City and i am a pizza Expert. Also I was very excited when Johnny's opened up living in wake Forest and I've been pulling for him since they opened. this is by far the best pizza not only in Wake Forest but probably in the triangle. It's not your typical thin crust thin cheese pizza it's basically heavy on dough, sauce and cheese but the ratio is perfect. Rule number one with this pizza is.. ordered extra crispy/ overdone it's makes all the difference in the world.it brings it from a 6.8 to a 8.2 . Sauces off the chain tasty and the cheese is fantastic. Being its kind of a of heavy pizza the undercarriage just can't get as crispy as one would like but the crust is really fantastic. I know Johnny clearly took a lot of work to figure out how to get this dialed in and it's about as good as you can get in North Carolina. OK Frankie that's the review.

Good. Bread not very crispy. But a good slice, no much flop, not greasy. Better than PTA :)

Overall good pizza. Has a good amount of sauce. Sauce is kind of tangy. But good. Could be a smidge crispier.

Crust has really good crisp not a lot of grease. Dough is shipped in every couple days from Jersey. Minimal flop. Good football pizza.

It’s a little slice of New York Pizza. Great crust and no flop. Sauce is a perfect blend of tomato. Best pizza in Wake Forest NC.
