The pizza is close to being perfect. The crispy, thin slice pizza is amazing , the sauce makes it amazingly perfect. The only bad part about the pizza is that it's not big enough. Slices are small .

A good bar-style pie! I definitely don’t feel this is in the 9s. (Sorry Dave!) Pizza is super crispy, and a bit charred. Sauce was a bit too plain. Awesome story to the place and worth trying if you’re in the area.

Crispy and chewy at the same time. I know that doesn’t make sense. My head is still spinning. I would eat this pie off of a literal dumpster it’s so good.

Epic Pizza…sauce is great, every bite is crunchy, zero flop, great dough, the cheese under the sauce is fresh, super thin, you can eat a whole pie easily, crunchy crust… can’t wait to go back

Made the rainy trek to Mount Vernon for a “business lunch” with a pizza pal. Enjoyed this tasty, thin-crust sauce-forward delight. Great sauce:cheese ratio and love the char on the crust. Could use a bit higher chew vs crunch quotient.

🛣 Pilgrimage Pie Alert 🛣 A lot of hype surrounding this joint, super high expectations were not only met, but exceeded! Beautifully thin and flavorful dough, leading to an exquisitely crispy and crunchy thin crust, making this a top 5 dough/crust combo I’ve ever had. I’m not sure if it’s the water they use or the oven it’s cooked in, but it has that signature New York classic pizza taste. This is a very light pie, not just because of the thin dough but the very scant amount of cheese atop. While they don’t use a ton of cheese, it’s just enough to provide flavor and make you feel like it’s not just a tomato pie. You’ll also notice the sauce is on top of the cheese and plentiful, while also remaining very light. It’s a wonderfully simple sauce, sweet tomatoes, no fresh basil or oregano or extra garlic. While it could use just a little more kick, the sauce is pretty terrific as is, maybe a sprinkle of garlic powder or Parmesan would give it a nice boost. But overall, everything works together magnificently, providing that delicious, old school New York, traditional pizza flavor. I call this a “Pilgrimage Pie” because it’s worth traveling over an hour to try. Right up there with the best Brooklyn and Manhattan pies, this pizza attains legendary status and will not disappoint.

Excellent pizza. I love the sauce on top. It’s impressive to me how well they do their crust using a normal gas oven. The thin, no flop crust, good sauce with light cheese all equals out almost perfectly. This 9.0 is well deserved.

The most cracker thin, crispiest crust I've ever eaten, from center to cornicione. It's charred *all* over the crust, not just at the bottom. And it's saucy throughout yet not heavy in saucy flavor, tangy, sweet, or herbal. The sauce is as light as the sauce in a small can of Red Pack tomato sauce. By the way, there's no much grease in sight, so it all holds together beautifully and is light in weight. l'd bet you could crush a whole pie by yourself. So why this score? I think you'll dock points if you’re a fan of cheesy slices. I'm not. But it is light on cheese. Same if you're not as big of a fan of the incredible crispiness. (I am). I also think the sauce isn't seasoned much, which is fine. But I think I like strong flavors in the sauce either in the sweetness (of San Marzano tomatoes), tanginess from garlic/acidic tomatoes, or from the herbal flavor of the oregano or basil.
