Crust is perfect. Cheese is good. Sauce is a bit sour. We also got a cherry pepper meatball pie and that was better but the crust couldn't hold the weight of the toppings.

Wished for a LITTLE more cheese. Phenomenal though.

No slices… just pies. Smoky flavor, amazing crust, amazing sauce, my favorite in NY

Almost perfect pizza! Very crispy, sauce had a good tang to it. Cheese was melted perfectly. Def a go to spot when in NY. Feels like it wouldn’t travel that well but the eat in was perfect.

This is the best pizza i have ever eaten. Nothing comes close. It is an exceptional experience for me and my family. One in my part had the calzone. That is all he eats. He burst out” this is AMAZING”

Best pizza I’ve ever had. Sauce is amazing, crust is crisp and crunchy. Excellent flavoring. Only downside is a tiny bit of flop.

Lives up to the hype

Hands down BEST pizza I have ever had - I could’ve kept ordering and eating the original pie. It was DELICIOUS!! The cheese, the sauce, the crust - truly incredible!

Slightly overrated but still very good pizza. The sauce is very nice and fresh but it could use more overall flavor and crisp

John’s is great. I noticed the mozzarella tasted almost like a brick cheese and found out later they use a higher than usual butterfat mozzarella which makes sense. That’s kind of the stand out quality and it’s great

Amazing

Planned a whole trip to the city around this Pie. Waited over an hour and was not impressed. Good pizza but given all the hype i expected much more. Willing to give it another try next time im in the city but won’t be planning a whole day around it.

Overrated over priced typical manhattan flavorless food. It wasn’t bad but definitely not a 9.3 or whatever portray gave it. I had the picante pepperoni and the jimmy gambino, both pizzas lacked sauce and flavor. The picante pepperoni was the better of the 2 pies I had the gambino had flavorless sausage and flavorless ricotta the tomato sauce on both has zero flavor the crust was decent textually but again lacked flavor. I only gave it a 7 because it is coal oven but I struggled to rate it that high. This place is for tourists and manhattanites with no taste buds and fat wallets. You’ll go and see out of towners with stars in their eyes like omg this is nyc. I went because it was on the list thanks to portnoy and I’ve wanted to try it even b4 him. All that said Sally’s apizza blows this place away in every sense Luigi’s and n Brooklyn is outstanding johnnys in the bronx amazing this place John’s of bleaker was mids at best.
