Seeing I was in New York, it was only fitting I went to Portnoy’s highest rated pizza score. Let me tell you, this pizza is ranked high for a reason. Nothing matches more than a cold New York day and the taste of hot pizza. The way people pack together, forming the line outside the restaurant only builds the suspense of the rumored pie just inside those doors. Not only does the restaurant have popularity, but it has charm. From the endless carved names in the wooden walls to the tightly packed dining area that we call John’s of Bleecker Street. This pizza is cooked to what is near perfection. Before I even took my first bite, I used my fork to pick up some cheese that had fallen off the pizza and tried this first. When the cheese alone tastes like heaven, you know this is an excellent pie. From the cheese to the crust, John’s of Bleecker Street has nailed it. One can only assume how valuable the coal fired oven in the kitchen is worth.
