Kim's Uncle Pizza

Boy, was this a pain in the ass to get. Place only has one oven, so it's tough to get a pizza. Great pizza, though! Cracker thin crust and a nice spice on the sauce. Grabbed a pepperoni, cheese, and sausage. All 3 are great, but sausage stood out. That, too, was spicy!

This place is just as good as Vito and Nicks. Worth the trip. I highly recommend this joint.

Now Kim’s Uncle Pizza. Great local pizzeria in downtown Westmont set up primarily for carry out with 2 small tables inside. Crust is cracker thin and crunchy! With a robust sauce and phenomenal ingredients especially the sausage. A true Chicago classic thin crust pizza cooked well done (standard) Highly recommend!

Now Kim’s Uncle Pizza. This place has more hype than I’ve ever seen for a pizza joint. Passed on the 3 hour wait last weekend. Only an hour and a half on a rainy Thursday. Call early if you want to try this. Super thin. Crust is basically a thin cracker. Really brittle. Sausage is amazing. Like a home made meatball. Lots of seasoning. Maybe a little overboard. This is really good stuff.

This tiny joint is now called Kim’s Uncle. It’s the best tavern style pizza in the Chicagoland area, hands down. Incredibly crispy, barely any grease. The sausage is out of this world.

This is now Kim’s Uncle Pizza. First off they were busy and yet very joyful and appreciative of my business. The pizza was as good as advertised. Actually like the sausage more than the pepperoni. Just right amount of hot honey. Wish this was just a little more crispier but it’s definitely in top tier for Chicago tavern in my view. Worth the trip to Westminster for sure. Better call right at 4PM to guarantee a reasonable time for pickup

Uncle Pete’s May be like 12 feet wide and have just enough room to pass ADA requirements. They have odd hours and can only pay by cash and check. This is a recipe for a good pizza. It’s been a while since I’ve had this type of pizza, which I call a blue collar working man pizza. The regular crust is their thin tavern crust. But it is heavy. The toppings are loaded, and there is quite a bit of sauce. Sausage shines with a traditional flavor and moist throughout. The sauce is sweet and unique. It won’t be for everyone, but I think it’s different enough to be their own. Outer crust is crunchy and flaky, then gets less firm toward the middle of the dough. It’s different, it’s filling, and a good value for how much volume of food you are getting. Tip: try to be patient with the communication on the phone and talk clearly of what you want. Check them out!

Horrible Nothing Good. Worst Pizza I’ve Ever Had

Crust is a little thinker than I like and the sauce has a taste of Ragu spaghetti sauce.. not horrible but won’t give it a second try.
