Solid, solid slice. Authentic NY style for sure - it’s got the FLOP! Not too much though, stops short of the point it would become slop. I got the “Davey Pageviews Special” aka the Lunch Special #2 - a Gold Medal slice, 2 bread sticks, both fresh from the oven, and a retro can Pepsi. Couldn’t ask for much more. Crust was crisp, the sauce was an excellent mixture of slightly sweet, slightly tangy and good thick but not too thick constitution - you can see the small chunks of tomato in the sauce but they’re not obtrusive. What detracted from a mid-8 score is the cheese is a bit greasy for my taste, which also contributed to the slightly excessive flop. I also like my crust to be a bit more flour-y, but that’s personal taste. Tighten up the cheese game and this is an 8.4 slice. That’s a review.
