La Familia Katonah | Pizza | Katonah NY

This is actually pretty good pizza, with nice sweet sauce and a firm hold but the crust could use a bit more crisp. Both the regular and chicken parm slice get the same score from me since to me they both taste the exact same. I still find the BBQ chicken slice at Pizza Station nearby superior to these guys, but I enjoyed these slices here.

1 cheese slice and 1 BBQ chicken slice, 1:50pm on a Friday, $5.25 This review/rating is based on the cheese slice. Pros: Textbook NY style slice done to perfection. A well browned, sturdy undercarriage with very little flop. Delicious sauce with a sweet taste well distributed under an appropriate amount of cheese. Not a greasy slice and the pizza man timed the reheat perfectly. Cons: Crust had some crunch but could be a touch crunchier. Was delicious nonetheless, not much to complain about here. The BBQ slice was good but a tad dry, likely from having been from an older pie. Still a great slice of pizza, both of them. Verdict: They make excellent pizza here, absolutely worth a visit you're in Katonah. A lot of times getting a slice at this time of day will put a place at a disadvantage, as the best slices come from buying a whole pie or walking in during the hour of opening. La Familia gave me an amazing cheese slice close to 2pm. Very impressed and happy with the visit.

Huge flop due to the density of the slice. A very shallow rim of crust. Zero oil and good crispiness. Hands down the best tomato sauce I’ve ever had. Better than average Mozzarella. No complaints on this slice. In terms of football pizza, this is the Super Bowl of football pizzas. Won’t blow you away, but, you’ll go back for more.

The crust and the cheese were the best elements of this slice. Too much grease, sauce was nice but was missing something, was flakey, and it was a little too thick for my liking. Just couldn't put it all togther to make a great slice but not bad if you're in the area

Good pizza. A lot of flop, but slice is good overall and I like the crust.

The cheese was all over the place and there was some hardcore Katonah flop. But the taste and crust made up for it. Was thinking sub 7 but the crust was spot on.

Crispy crust, good amount of oil, very nice cheese. One of the most footbally of football pizzas ever created.
