La Famosa

Lots of flop and very sweet with an excellent sweet sauce taste.

I will be honest, it was the closest thing to the hotel. Boy am I glad we stopped! The pizza was excellent. One of the best I've had on Long Island. Very good neighborhood pizza.

Decent taste. Crust was floppy toward the front, but crispy on the back. A bit greasy. Nice people.

Surprisingly good pizza

So…really crispy and perfectly thin. However, it sorta really disappoints from there. For a slice north of $3 my expectations were a bit higher because the slice lacked any type of flavor and was very greasy.

This is like the pizza everyone from the 70s and 80s grew up on

Surprisingly good. A bit too greasy but nicely crisped crust, perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Can’t ask for more from a local corner spot. One of the best in the area

How anyone gave this over a 2.5 is a rookie. No flavor to the Sauce and rock hard on a “fresh” slice. People are nice but damn man some seasoning place

I dont know why i haven’t reviewed this place yet, i’ve eaten here a dozen times. The picture is of the Brooklynn slices and don’t bust my balls about it not being a plain cheese slice. The rating is for the plain cheese, it was incredible. I’ve had worse slices from here but its always a pretty trustworthy spot for at least a decent slice. I asked for everything well done. The plain slice came out nice and crispy, zero flop, thin flakey crust, the tomato shined through in the sauce. The cheese on the plain slice was slightly salty and a little greasy but still very good. The rating on the Brooklynn slice, 8.7. It was fresh out the oven, crisp on the bottom, sauce was slightly sweet like it should be. The guy running the place took a slice of Brooklynn for himself, and slapped some fresh basil on it, thats a bold move Frankie, might try that next time. Also had a Margherita slice, i’d rate that an 8.3. I highly recommend giving this place a shot!

Impressive! Awesome crunch on the first and last bite. Cheese has a nice zing and the sauce is sweet and subtle. La Famosa is a hidden gem, a hole in the wall in a crappy little plaza.

Really good slices. Crust was good no flop no grease. Highly recommend this place!

Brooklyn slice sauce was very good with a nice sweet taste. Regular slice with garlic knots had a little too much flop but it was enjoyable.
