La Madona Italian Cuisine and Pizzeria

La Madona Pizza delivers a solid experience with a standout sauce and cheese ratio that strikes the perfect balance. The dough is impressively airy and doughy, providing a light yet satisfying texture. The flavor of the crust itself is very good, however, the undercarriage could use some improvement. While it wasn’t raw, it wasn’t cooked enough to develop the crispiness and char that elevate a pizza’s foundation.

collab with makelovetopizza6969: very good pizza. main concern is the lack of crunch. if it had a crunch with every bite, it would’ve been well into the 8s. i do like the fresh mozzarella, and the sauce is decent. good local pizza, but not worth an extensive travel

Its thick and crunchy with flavor. What more can you ask for? Maybe for undercarriagelover22 to have tried it too

Sauce and cheese were amazing. Pretty nice crust, I appreciate the doughiness but just slightly too chewy for my taste. Definitely will come back here

Ok another no mask review. this time ay La Modona in Matawan. Pretty good spot. Slice had a nice crisp on the dough with no flop. cheese was good quality and sauce had decent flavor... decent football pie slice... 7.5 thats the review

First One Bite review. Never had La Madona pizza before, just their entrees which I know are good. Wasn’t bad, had a nice touch of garlic to it. Cheese was a bit of a separatist. I would go there again. BBQ chicken pizza was probably a 7.2 - chicken was a little dry, less BBQ for my liking. None of it was freshly made, all from display and reheated, but to be fair that’s how most of my reviews will be.

I had a plan slice before the Sicilian... plain slice was ok way to much cheese... sauce is little to sweet for my liking and you can really taste the spices on this Sicilian....

The square upside down gets an 8.3 for me. Once quarantine is over I’ll go in and try a plain slice and see where that’s at

Eh...maybe I'm a little low, but not by much. Maybe a 6.4 instead but a review is a review. I'm sticking with the 6.2 that I originally gave. Decent slice. My average slice is a 6.1 and this is about that. I also got a grandma slice that I did not review on camera. I love grandma slices and normally score them high. Grandma here is a 5.5 which was disappointing. Will try this place again as I think this may have been a bad day. Heard a lot of great things about this spot so worth giving them another chance. Sauce was good on regular slice. You can tell they know their pizza. Just expected a bit more.

“1 plain, not too crispy.” A bit floppy but doesn’t matter, their sauce is great. An ideal sauce to cheese ratio & very nice dough. Their upside down is the best around though!! Standard slice 7.1 Upside down 7.7

This pizza slice was served smoking hot, hence the excess oil. It was a good slice, nice sauce and good dough.
