La Pizza

Good Flop, Sweet sauce, great flavor dough. light on the cheese. Not enough char on the bottom.

Im from the East coast and this is the most New York style pizza I have found in the city. Highly recommend.

I ordered two pepperoni and sausage slices from LA pizza. The slices were about $13 total, which isn't terrible for the size of the slices. Apparently i got these just in time, as they quit doing slices at 3pm. They asked me how long it would be until i got there, and i said 13 minutes, yet they didn't start heating the slices until i got there. The slices had a lot of flop, and were extremely oily. The sausage was very strange; almost seems like gryo meat. Cheese and sauce were pretty bland. Overall tasted like a high school cafeteria pizza. Idk how they have so many awards and a 7.2 from dave; this may have been the most average pizza I ever ate.

The service and staff were great. But the pizza was kind of disappointing after hearing so many good things our expectations were high. The sauce was bland. The cheese was okay. The mushrooms came out of a can. The crust was good. Maybe we caught them on an off day but if this is what they make day in and day out then I would say the hype is higher than the reality.

So the guys here are awesome! I have been all over the USA. The flavor of the sauce and the cheese is top notch. The guy making the pizza takes great pride in making it a work of art. Being from Long Island, this is great NY Pizza. They squeezed me in a large cheese pie after driving 2.5 hours (call ahead on Fri and Sat). Would go back in a heartbeat. Love the attitude here!

Amazing New York style pizza in a small spot on Delmar. This place puts what is considered St. Louis style pizza to shame. Glad I found this spot and will definitely have to try it again. Guy behind the counter was great too and made sure I got plenty of utensils and red pepper.

I cheated because I wanted thin and well done so I made a point to ask for it that way. Very good crust. Crunch, chew, and and good fermentation flavor. Taste of toppings are spot on. Slight too much cheese for me but the cheese is not chewy. This pie would be my football pizza every Sunday. My fear is they get squeezed by tha Chicago influence. People in the Midwest while nice, don’t have a clue what pizza is. And how it should be cut. Lol.

Reminds me of NY pizza and the guys that run it are awesome. Will definitely be back!
