Landons Pub & Pizza

After visiting Watkins Glen State park we decided to stop here. Let me just say although looking at the bar from the outside it looks like a hole in the wall bar. But going inside it’s quite roomy and clean. The staff was nice and the prices were amazing. We got large pizza. Wings. Fries. 3 beers. And it was 40$?! Cheap Now to the pizza review. THE GOOD The cheese was stringy and pepperoni had a nice meaty flavor (not cheap tasting) THE BAD I’m not a fan of thin crust pizza and although the sauce was there it didn’t have a lot of notable flavor. No mistake about it, it’s a bar that serves food. To start, the dough was pretty good, had a nice crisp on the bottom and the crust was easy to eat. The sauce was seasoned well and even though it was a little sweet, there was enough there to counter the sweetness. The cheese, eh, couldn’t taste it but the sauce made up for it. This review is vague, that I apologize for but it’s good bar pizza when you’re polishing off a few brews.
