Leaning Tower of Pizza

I’ve been wanting to revisit this place for years (was last here in the late 90’s) and I’m happy to say that it was worth the wait! What really stood out was the unique flavor of the sauce. Lately it seems like the sauce is basically non existent on most pizzas I’ve had lately. Not the case at Leaning Tower, it really stands out on this pizza. It’s also a really nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal.

Dropped in on this place on the way back from Weeki Wachee state park. The crust was decent, sauce was good, quite a bit of flop, but the service knocked it out of the park. They definitely have their local crowd that seems to come daily. All in all a good lunch experience.

I’ll start off with the positives. The big slice cost only $2 and the sauce on the pizza was decent. Other than that this is a pretty average slice. I wish the cheese had more flavor. Since this is a reheated slice I debated if a fresh slice could have reached the low 7’s but after I was finished I think the best a fresh slice could have done is a high 6’s.

Crust had no bite or flavor.

Good NY style pie. Had it with cheese and half with fresh Roma tomatoes. Not greasy, right amount of cheese, good amount of sauce, but sauce was a little flat for my taste

Pretty good pizza. Not great, but crispy no flop how I like it. Sauce was good right amount. Not Alot of tang but the flavor is solid. Crust was nice and crunchy not a ton of flavor and alittle to thin. All and all good party pizza with some quality and decent flavor. Ps not much grease which is good.

Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Crispy on the bottom
