I can see why everyone loves this neighborhood bar, but if we’re just rating the pizza here, some of these wildly high scores are baffling. I love a good bar pie but this is unlike any bar pie I’ve ever had, particularly pertaining to the dough. The pie is small in size & relatively thin, mainly because the dough is somewhere between a matzah & saltine cracker. The sauce isn’t really a pizza sauce as it’s more of a bunch of crushed red tomatoes. The cheese is a thicker mozzarella, creamy-ish, but nothing special. This is the type of pie you’d get if you surprised your Italian grandmother at 2am and asked her to make a pizza out of matzah crackers, a can of crushed tomatoes and a brick of Polly-O mozzarella. The crust even crumbles like one of those Nature Valley bars. While my expectations might have been a little high, this disappointed in a way I never could have imagined.

Great crust, very thin and crunchy. Definitely a New York slice. No flop or grease. Good cheese could have more tho. Sauce is good a little tangy. It looks small but it is a steal cause it is costs about 11$

Very Original with thin crispy crust tangy sauce and decent cheese. The sauce does overpower the cheese a bit but it’s still very good.

Best bar pie on Staten Island. Perfect amount of crisp. The sauce is very good and there isn't a lot of grease. Great quality pizza all around 👌🏼👌🏼

Tastes homemade like someone’s grandma is in the back making them. Really good.

One of my favorites on the island. I can never get enough of this pizza. Love the tangy sauce and crust always cooked to perfection. The square is good too, same as the cheese but way thicker crust if you’re into that. The fresh mozzarella pie is just ok. Love the white clam pie too, pretty solid but overall, the cheese pie will forever win.

I grew up with Papas and De Lorenzos in Trenton (now Robbinsville) and this was right up there with the best. Great pie and place.

Great bar style pie. Thin, cripsy, great sauce. Just a really good pie.

Such a great thin crisp pizza and the sauce has such a deliciousness to it it melts in your mouth with the mozzarella. And the taste of the crust is amazing.

There was a lot of anticipation and expectation around this visit. Lee’s was the first I’d ever heard of a SI pizza scene many moons ago, and this was my first visit to SI. The atmosphere was promising enough - everything you’d want in a neighborhood tavern: a bar, some “sit where you like” tables, and table service. Unfortunately, the pizza was a bit of a bust. The crust was thin and crackery, but more like the tasteless water crackers that you might get at the last minute for a dinner party. The sauce an cheese was equally bland. One thing that did stand out was the presence of cupping pepperoni on the half pep that I ordered. I suppose the silver lining to the bland pizza was that it didn’t distract from thie nice pep flavor. (Side note: my brother doused his pie in oregano and salt and said that it was much improved). Overall, a great place for a beer but save room for pizza elsewhere.

Yo, Frankie! This pie is legit! Really good thin crust, and the sauce has such a over the top tomato taste. Good crisp and no flip or oil dripage. You can’t go wrong in this joint. And their meatball parm, amazing.
