Was in the area for work and was told this place compares to some of my favorites. Got my customary half plain half sausage. Ordered it crispy as recommended and I can say that yes it’s good pizza but definitely not up to par with my two favorites Roseland Apizza and Zuppardi’s

Surprised to see bar pie. Flavorful cheese, good balance of ingredients. Sauce was the highlight, really tangy and full bodied. Crust didn't stand out as much as I'd like.

Family-run by third generation pizza makers with Neapolitan style thin crust origins dating back to 1937, there’s a lot of history and expertise that goes into every pie. Deliciously fresh ingredients, each pie is handcrafted and uniquely shaped. The dough is outstanding in both taste & texture, medium thin, bigger than a bar pie and they offer 4 different ways to order your pie: well done, crispy (which I opted for), regular or undercooked (I don’t know what psycho would request this). There’s also an option for “Aunt Mary Style” which is with black pepper & garlic powder. Along with the dough, the crust has just about the perfect level of crisp, thin & tasty, absolutely exquisite. The sauce is full bodied, hearty & strong, great tang and a very distinct flavor. I always prefer a saucier pie to a dry pie but there is just slightly too much sauce in relation to the thinness of the dough. The cheese is also a thick blend of mozzarella, delicious but far too thick for such a thin based pizza. If the dough were thicker, this wouldn’t even be an issue. But it’s a terrific pie overall, the crispy thin crust style is definitely the way to go, just dial back the sauce a smidge and the cheese a bit more and we’re talking easy 8s. Some might argue this belongs in the 8s already but I’m gonna hold them to a higher standard to see if these little adjustments can make a difference. Well worth trying and traveling within a half hour.

Wow! You can’t tell by looking at it but this is an amazing pie. Very thin, very crispy. Ordered well done which is not cheating if it’s an option on the menu. A very unique light and flavorful red sauce. The clam casino pie is an awesome combo of topping flavors too. A+ exceeds expectation even though it does have some hype dating back to the 1930s.

Dear El Prez, You rated Colony Grill in Fairfield ct. 8.4, I gave it a 8.6. Latizia’s is unbelievable, I drove over 20 minutes to get there( and 20 minutes back). I ordered it burnt (they give you options) and aunt Marie’s style. And now I’m bobbing my head, 8.9 9.1 8.9 9.1 8.9 9.1. I landed on 9.1. Put it right up there in the New Haven Hall of PIZZA FAME. Small cheese pizza, 11:20am on a Wednesday, $10.74 Pros: Nicely sauced bar pie, great taste, delicious char on the outer rim and a bit on the undercarriage. Friendly pizza guy makes a high quality pie. Cons: Bit of flop. Sauce is tasty and plentiful but at times almost dominates the taste. Verdict: This is a really good pizza. Cooked thin with a crispy crusty. When it cools just a bit, it gets even tastier as the oil and cheese coalesce to compliment the robust sauce. Not as crunchy as Colony or Riko's but it's another great bar pie that I don't have to drive all the way to Stamford to enjoy.

Rally good pizza. Order a small or ask for your medium or large cooked well done to give a requisite crisp otherwise it will have a bit too much flop. That being said you really can’t knock anything about this pizza. The strength is in the tangy sauce. Guys there are extremely nice too.

You can order regular, crispy or well done. We got crispy. No flop. A little greasy. Pretty thin and crispy. Nice char on the crust. Sauce was ok. More straight tomato. Cheese was prob whole milk mozz hence the grease. Good neighborhood za

Leaves a lot to be desired from the sauce to the crust. Way too floppy for thing crust. The oregano is a nice touch

This is very tasty pizza. The key here is getting it well done or crispy or it comes out a bit too floppy and greasy. Just short of 8s club but still very good.

Not a NY/NJ style pizza - reminds me of pizza you’d find down south. Sauce was good but heavier than it needed to be. Super floppy

Out of 119 places this is the first time I’ve eaten a slice with almost too much sauce. It’s good though, nice use of oregano. Thin crust is delicious but no match for the weight of the sauce.

Decent slice. Little bland on the sauce. Lots of flop. Pretty greasy. Little discrepancy between crust and rest of pizza. I liked it. Didn’t love it.
