Lillo's Tomato Pies

Completely different pizza since Dave stopped by. Used to be under cooked and just fine pizza. Check out my other review here for comparison pics. So much better now. Great under carriage, cooked well, great flavor.

Amazing pie!

Review 362—-very big slice. Floppy not as crisp as thought but doughy crust. But the sauce wins it delicious. The cheese was pretty good. Still a high score. Maybe a whole pie is better. Still very enormous slice. Will come back for a whole pie

Unbelievably crust, great sauce. Best cheesesteak we’ve ever had. Very friendly staff.

Went here to grab a cheesesteak and decided to grab a slice too. Didn’t realize it would take up 2 plates. Absolutely delicious; very thin and crispy zero flop and great flavor. One of the best slices around. Side note - probably a top 5 cheesesteak I’ve ever had. Only negative was the place was packed but rightfully so.

Love the review by Dave and am a big fan of Papa’s which this is based on. Crispy crust but seemed slightly thicker than Papas. Overall the taste was mild compared to Papa’s.

11 Hours to fly across the United States. A car rental, bridge, and toll road, and yes worth every penny. This by far has to be the best experience I’ve personally had. The family/staff that work at Lillo’s are amazing. Never have I experienced such courtesy this is beyond customer service this is being treated as you are sharing their dinner table. The pizza is at a level I have never experienced and am unable describe my delight. If you travel across our great country for pie and they serve a cheese steak well…… why not get both. As someone who has tried cheese steaks across Philly this was the best cheese steak I’ve ever had. That cheese sauce is so spot on. But what I was a amazed by was not on single nibble of gristle. Every bit was delicious the perfect steak, the perfect bread, and that amazing cheese sauce. Thank you for such a memorable experience and sharing your table with me tonight. This was a special treat for me. My daughter is excited beyond words for her T-shirt. I can’t wait to dig in to my left overs for breakfast.

Quality stuff. Pretty unique salty flavor for a tomato pie. Didn’t care for the crust - too chewy.

After 3 attempts we finally got to taste Lillo’s tomato pie! It was well worth the wait. A thin crispy pie with a soft sweet sauce and great tasting cheese. Definitely better than papa’s & Delorenzo’s. I would put this pizza up with DeLucia’s pizza!

Tomato pie way cheesy. Crust is perfect. Crunchy and tasty. Cheese delicious. Sauce I can’t quite identify. Cheese overwhelms but it’s so good it doesn’t matter. Execution great because the crunch is perfect and overall taste wonderful. That it’s a bit light on sauce drags score down. I wouldn’t come back for the pizza but the steak is a different story. Bonus steak- steak meat is exceptional. Roll is exceptional. Quality undeniable. An obvious shout out to John’s Roast Pork. Not as good as John’s but certainly beats anything else. 8.9 for this steak. John’s would be the only food I rate at 10.

Solid pie. Good crisp. A bit more salt in the sauce would go a long way.

Best in the area

Almost the antithesis of Mateo’s. The crust was excellent, but the sauce could have used some more flavor. Little greasy too.
