L'industrie Pizzeria - Williamsburg

What else do you need to know 8.5 so good.

Today was the day I finally made my pilgrimage to the OG location of L'Industrie. Got there just before noon before the line began forming and I was the fourth on line to order. The place exuded a great vibe that really made it stand out. I ordered the white slice and tartufo slice. Both came within a few minutes and I was blown away by the texture and taste of both the toppings and the dough itself. The slices were well balanced and due to the fermentation was easy on the stomach and I ended up ordering a third slice before I left. This pizzeria really earns the accolades it has gotten from many people and groups like Top50 Pizza which named it the number one slice shop in the US two years in a row. This pizzeria is easily on my top 10 list for sure and it is the worth the trek. To the crew at L'Industrie, keep on making excellent pizza and be back again soon and hope to visit the West Village and Little Italy spots soon!

Amazing ratio

Pretty damn good overall. If you like just plain cheese this isn’t the best place for that. It was pretty dry but all the other slices were pretty good. New Yorker slice was the best epic with hot honey. It was worth the wait and the trip but probably not something I would wait for again.

Sausage pesto was a surprised banger

Burrata slice. Classic. Flavorful. 8.2 Fig jam and Bacon. Insane flavor. Sweet and Smokey. 9.3

Tie for first place in NY. I got 2 of the L’Industrie Slices (burrata & prosciutto), top notch! Crisp, thin, light, but not dry… delicious 😎🤙

The burrata slice was special. Fantastic regular cheese underneath and then splodges of beautifully creamy burrata were like a cheat code. Great crisp and texture throughout too

No tang, but good crisp

Out of a couple dozen places I’ve tried in NYC, this is the best slice around. It’s really under rated on this app. I think the wait was 20min but it was worth it.

Cheese slice was so good! Quality of the sauce and cheese was top notch. I got in line right when they opened and there wasn’t much of a wait. Must stop when in Brooklyn!

Crust over cooked great sauce and ingredients. Would recommend and will be back!

The hype is definitely strong with this one. Maybe it’s the hipster appeal, but just seems like a really solid NY pizza. Done the old school way but with new school branding. Not sure it’s worth it when it’s a long wait and super busy though.

It’s banging

Cheese was the only thing that left me wanting more. Also, I wonder if the whole pizza is less crisp since it lacks the reheat. Slice texture 10 Cheese sauce 8 Overall flavor and texture 9.3

I had very high hopes coming here since I've seen a poll or two with them as the best in the country! 1. Seems like more of a preppy, hipped crowd that comes to this place. I went to three other legendary places that I considered some of the biggest names before I got here, and this one is more of a modern look. 1. They seem like the specialty pizzas are more of what they are known for, but like David portnoy, I always like to try the basic cheese slice first and see how their ingredients taste before trying other items. 2. As you see from the picture of the slice, they sprinkle fresh parmesan cheese on top. I find not everybody likes that, and it's good to let the customer add it themselves. I found the slice to be slightly under seasoned overall, and the dough on the dry side. Other than that, it was definitely above average and a pretty good slice overall!!
