This is pizza

Not bad.

We had the large cheese and house small (peppers, sausage and mushroom). Very flavorful cheese where you get all the flavors of each ingredient. One bite of the special took us back to Franklin Ave in Hartfords Italian fest. Could not stop eating both!!! Thank God it’s only 20 min away from me as it beats out Pepe’s IMO. Have not had Sally’s yet as I refuse to wait in line !!! Call ahead here and plan!!! We called Saturday around 1:00pm and had a 35 minute wait and were able to eat inside!!

The best pizza, looks burnt but I tell you…. It’s NoT!

Best pizza I have ever had. blows any New Haven slice out of the water. Great guys inside, old oven. They say it is the oldest in America. Well done pie, crunchy throughout. Firm crust. Cannot think of a better slice. 9.5. blew my dick off

Amazing pesto shrimp pizza. The red sauce pepperoni pizza was a bit too chewy for my liking

As an NJ native, I don’t get the New Haven hype. We tried Sally’s a few weeks ago and, while cooked to perfection with fantastic crunch, the sauce and cheese had no flavor. Yesterday my wife and I tried Little Rendezvous and both agreed that it was much more flavorful than Sally’s. I think Little Rendezvous should be rated higher than Sally’s, and it’s definitely worth the trip!

Trying another legendary spot. Could have been just a tad crispier, but really good crisp on the edge. Sauce was fantastic and it truly is an experience watching the pizza chef at his work. 8.9, that’s a review.

I think Dave was way off on this one. No flavor in the sauce or dough. I’d eat it again, but I’d never go out of my way to get it.

Probably the most historic pizza spot I’ve been in CT. Great group of guys running this place and even better pizza. Also, my son loved the hearty sauce. Must try if you are in CT.

Honestly, the pizza was pretty damn good. I can see why Dave gave it a 9.1 We live about 15 mins away from Meriden, so when we got home the pizza was a bit cold. Probably would’ve tasted even better hot & right of the oven, but I don’t mind room temp pizza. Still was incredible & would go again and probably eat the pizza there. No flop to the pizza 🤝🏼
