First time trying Lou Malnati’s, not to be confused with Grimaldi’s. I got the Chicago Classic which had sausage on top, as well as “butter crust.” The sausage I thought was very bland, and the tomato sauce was pretty plain - a basic marinara sauce with a little basil and garlic. Not too much flavor. There was a ton of cheese however, and the crust had a very rich buttery flavor! The crust easily carried this pizza.
Also tried the thin crust sausage pizza. Not very good. Crust was not as flavorful as the deep dish. I’d give the thin crust a 5.1.
