If you need someone to rate a “Chicago” pizza ask a true New Yorker. To scale this I would use the litmus rest of Johns on Bleeker. Solid 8.0 absolutely no flop despite its casserole like appearance. The strength of this crust should be admired like modern day ESPN strong man competitors. Sauce bangs with an ultimate zest like getting shot in the mouth by a 12gauge full of Jesus sprinkles.

Its great pizza, good sauce with chunks of tomatoes, shit ton of cheese, surprisingly not greasy.

The ‘pizza’ debate on deep dish will rage on forever, but this was a good meal. Tangy sauce, crispy crush, and great cheese.

Sweet sauce with a tang. Great slice, usually I’m a New York slice guy, however deep dish was a nice change. Great pie!!

Chicago pizza isn’t really my thing, but I can appreciate for what it is. Quite tasty, but the chunky sauce is not my bag.

Not a huge fan of deep dish but what da heck. So this pizza blew Giordano’s chain out of the water. The Lou was pretty dang good, buttery crust (no flop), great toppings and not overwhelmed by cheese. First deep dish I ever ate with my hands, will compare any other deep dish to this from now on.

Excellent service, good pizza, but it had a wine taste that I’m not looking for in a pizza and I’m from New York and this doesn’t come close to NY pizza.

I’m from NY so this isn’t really pizza but it is a tasty meat, cheese and sauce casserole. Really heavy but flavorful. A must try when you’re in Chi-Town.

One of my top three in Chicago. Excellent buttercrust and amazing sauce.
