Lou Malnati’s Chicago Classic. Sausage A1. Cheese A1. Tomatoes A1. This was hearty but very good!

The Deep dish is not my favorite but it’s pretty good here. The outer crust is the best part. Sauce is on the chunky side and is laid on heavy. Cheese is also laid on heavy. For all the hype I was disappointed, but for this style it was definitely better than average.

Had this sausage pie at Lou’s in Elk Grove this summer. I’m normally a big fan of Lou Malnati’s but this sausage pizza was not their best effort. I’ve even had much better pies at this exact location. Pizza was lukewarm, sauce was very thin on top and pizza was a bit under baked for my liking. I’m sure my next experience will be much better.

Simply amazing

Deep-dish pizza has a long history in the city of Chicago, with Lou Malnati’s being regarded as one of the most ubiquitous pizza chains serving Chicago style pizza. The crust was buttery and crispy, as well as thick enough to hold the ample amount of cheese and sauce. The sauce itself, albeit sweet and tangy, can be considered more as a topping than a sauce as it features chunks of tomatoes. Needless to say, one slice of this pizza will make you full, making Lou Malnati’s a must try!

Pretty good deep dish. Sweet and tangy sauce, but the cheese killed the vibe of it. Crust was crisp and filling. Experience was good but I’d go with a thin crust next time.

Buttery sweet crust. Sweet tomato sauce. Solid moz. Too rich to entertain this again

Had it delivered, it holds its shape great. crust is crisp, tomato sauce is a little tangy, and it came with freshly grated Parmesan.

The Lou

Large Pepperoni butter crust was fantastic. We drive a long way (Michigan) to get Lou Malnati’s Pizza. True Chicago Deep Dish pizza. Crispy, flaky crust, a ton of fresh Mozzarella, sweet but tangy tomato based sauce. It’s hard to beat this pizza BUT the North Wells location (Downtown) can do it. Go here and eat this pizza.
