Louie & Ernie's Pizza

Super solid, old school NY pizza. Friendly staff, historic location. Actually reminds me a bit of some places back home in New Haven area, like Zuppardi’s and Ernie’s, which is high praise.

Solid! Great old school place

Old school spot with the gas oven that wouldn’t shock me if it’s original from when the place opened. Good quality NY slice. Cash only. Thin with a bit of flop. Outer crust and underneath had a nice crunch as you got to the edge. Cheese had a bit of a sharp kick which made it unique.

Nice and thin good crust pretty decently flavored. Really nice sausage on it. Sicilian I’d take a pass on next time.

Been a while since I had a slice from here. Was passing by and had to stop. Still a good sausage slice. Different from the rest . It hit the spot.

The legendary Louie and Ernie’s of the Bronx. This here this is what the pizza game is about. You could hear the ghost in there. You could hear Joe D and Yogi ordering a pie, them sitting down, eating it, then getting a good night sleep to wake up for 1 pm game and go yard. 8.6.

2/2 on Bronx letdowns

Would have preferred little less flop, but otherwise super delicious. Plenty of pepperoni, sauce is fresh and crusty is very crispy and light.

Not being from the Bronx I think this was an absolutely phenomenal pie. Sausage was fresh, ton of flavor and great crust. Wish I lived closer.

Really disappointed, small portion very cold and very expensive for what you get. Slice isn’t as good as nearby pizzerias

I have to say, I loved this spot. Cool little place with some outdoor seating… we had an emergency and had to leave.. didn’t get to sit and enjoy unfortunately. Was going to order a pie and have a 🍺 ~ wound up grabbing some slices and eating in the car like a filthy slob 😂 Pizza was good! Thin, little greasy, little floppy, but overall taste is good. I’m looking forward to going back and sitting with a fresh pie. There was a Sicilian in there too that was good. A lot of cheese but a nice crunch to it. No pic cause my girl couldn’t give me .5 seconds to take a pic before she started attacking it… 😂

Party cut sausage slice from the One Bite Fest. It's Louie and Ernie's signature pie. Portnoy and the stoolie cult, hype Luigi's in Park Slope as the best quintessential gas deck oven, slice joint in NYC to the point of a 9.3 when I think Louie and Ernie's is the way better example of that. Cornmeal on the bottom, well done, thin with barely a cornicione, light tangy sauce, got the slice straight from the oven and it was way too hot. But it was good. Crispy, fresh, light crust, not chewy or dense. It isn't well done on top but that doesn't matter. I could probably give it an 8 or low 8, but I don't want people to get too hype from all the higher scores. Definitely worth visiting the full place if in that area of the Bronx. Gio from Luigi's is a nice, giving individual, I'm not counting that. But that pizza is not a 9.3 if Dave's giving this a high 7s, let's be honest.
