Old school Detroit Style pizza at its best!

Louis Pizza- I love you. This pizza is like an offensive lineman, looks heavy, feels light. Great under carriage, crust is out of this world. Sauce has a good amount of spice, cheese is fantastic. Not football pizza, not Neapolitan, this is premium Detroit Style “burry me in my casket with a Large pie” pizza.

The absolute greatest example of Detroit style pizza you can find. Way off the beaten path, deep in the heart of Hazel Park the location can intimidate many , but this this gem will not disappoint.

The best pizza I’ve ever had

I love this place for Detroit style pie. It’s my “go to” when I’m in town. The service is always awesome!

Solid slice of Detroit style pizza. Delicious sauce, wish there was more of it bc the mozzarella/sauce ratio was way off. Toppings were fresh.

Awesome pizza. Crust is top notch. Almost as good as the pizza is the ambience inside. Awesome vibe. Well worth a drive to enjoy.

This is the last of the Big 3 OG spots I needed to try for a classic Detroit Style. It’s a better than Cloverleaf but if Buddy’s wasn’t so salty (personal preference, I’m sure many prefer it that way) I’d probably put Buddy’s higher. But Loui’s gets the highest score of the 3 for my taste. Still disappointed that none of these original places seem at the level that many of the new places in town are producing. The crust had a burnt flavor, the pizza itself is a little thin for detroit style, mushrooms and sauce were good, cheese didn’t really stand out either way. Great customer service, shout out to Shannon for answering all my questions. Currently doing Covid curbside pick up only and just open Fri-Sunday. No delivery.
